Louis Conte’s The Truth be Told: Exploring corruption, controversy, and deception in today’s world from the perspective of a forensic psychophysiologist (Polygraph Examiner).
Duper's delight....we meet again. What a facinating study in deceptive behaviors. Thank you for this excellent substack! Looking forward to your IPAK course this semester. :)
For the first time, I noticed how effeminate his gestures can be. I think it was when he walked into that wall, or the way he tucked in his scarf.... he struck me as surprisingly feminine.
I also saw a flash of smug maliciousness come across his face. This is probably what you've described as "duper's delight".
My take: He knows exactly what is going on. He is well aware of the suffering his company has inflicted on the world, and he has no intentions of stopping it. He has come to terms with the arrangement; the excessive loss of life no longer fazes him-- although its unclear if it ever did.
He does not concern himself with the struggles of the everyday people. As a result, he is not really phased by the reporters questions.. he is just irritated that they are stalking him like paparrazi. He is well-trained on how to handle these situations, it is easy for him to walk briskly in awkward silence, as the reporters struggle to catch their breath.
I can't figure out if Bourla is motivated more by money, or ideology, or he just loves being in a position of power. Perhaps he was raised in a cult & groomed for this role his entire life. (Starting as a vet makes perfect sense...)
One thing I feel strongly-- he truly sees himself as being above us. He looks down on us peasants. Not with pity, and certainly not compassion-- more like, he regrets our existence as we are a nuisance to his way of life. But he needs the poor & working class, otherwise, who would he sell his poisons to? Who would be mandated to recieve his snake-oil jabs?
Very interesting read and I totally agree with everything stated here.
I think Pfizer, Big Pharma & all of our medical cabal deserve to be prosecuted for crimes against humanity.
I think all of their money should be stripped from them & given to all they injured & families of the millions or billions they have murdered over the decades?!
